In October of 2005 I was
lucky enough to be contracted to make all the masks for the masquerade
scene of a production of The Phantom of the Opera performed by the Nevada
Civic Light Opera at the historic
Piper's
Opera House in Virginia City, Nevada.
The performance was wonderful
and showcased some of the most amazing voices this maskmaker has ever heard.
The masks of Christine, Raoul, and the Phantom were designed especially
for this show, and many of the others were adaptations of aleady existing designs.
