This piece measure 24 inches
by 36 inches and is a traditional oil painting, my first. Up until this
painting I primarily worked in acrylics. But I fell in love with oils the
first time I felt the unique, sensual slip and slide of the brush on the
canvas. I just don't think you can get the same glow or depth with acrylics
as with oils, or the luminous blending. In this painting the woman is supended
within her own dreams; a world of swirling colors and whirlpools where
nothing is real, and yet everything is.
