Handsewn full length cloaks
$49.00
All cloaks are 54inches in length and feature a metal clasp closure, they are made of panne velvet, which has a wonderful movie character flow to it when you walk, and they have a full hood with caped shoulders. This cloak is a custom design of my own which you will not find anywhere else. It is perfect when paired with one of my masks, just wear black clothes (as demonstrated in the picture below of the hunter green cloak) and your costume is complete and very elegant, and you don't have to worry about whether it fits. If you are extra tall and need a longer cloak just let me know, it is only $10 more for extra length and can be custom fit to where you want it to fall. The cloak is shown below in the hunter green color with a gold clasp and coordinates beautifully with the Peacock Dreams mask also in the picture. The other cloak shown below is the midnight blue color with a silver clasp worn over the 17th century fantasy costume dress with a silver Cat Dancer  mask. For more costume suggestions please check out the Costume Ideas page. Available colors are: black, midnight blue, burgundy, hunter green, blue violet, off white, and pewter grey, with your choice of a silver or gold clasp. If ordering online please be sure to email the maskmaker with your color choices. If you need one very quickly and are in the Athens area simply email me or call my cel phone # (706)714-4669. You can also check out The Cat's Pajamas in The Markets at Epps Bridge which will begin carrying my masks in October, 2008 and will probably have the cloaks seasonally for Halloween.
*current colors in stock for immediate shipment: midnight blue panne velvet w/silver clasp, and a heavy silver velvet with a deep druid type hood and a silver clasp

Handsewn Costumes

Most of the pics I have of the numerous costumes I have done over the years are not digital so it may be a little while before I can get a nice selection of photos up on the website. The one above is from this past Halloween and is a fantasy version of a 17th century dress done with midnight blue lame, black satin, and silver brocade accents. It can be used for lots of different costumes; I used it for a Fairy Gomother costume this year(it's actually several years old). It is also pictured farther above with the midnight blue cloak and the silver Cat Dancer mask for a period masquerade look. I love to sew, but I mostly do custom designs, I do not rent costumes, and I do not do any copyrighted designs such as Batman or some other recognizable figure. I enjoy working with fine fabrics, and especially historical or fantasy designs, such as Rennaissance or Revival gowns. If you would like some costume ideas that you can do on your own please visit my Costume Ideas Page. Often if you have a fancy masquerade event to go to you can get away with only a mask and a cloak and a formal dress or tux to pull off any theme you want since a specialized costume can get fairly expensive and is not worn that often.  If, however, you have something special to go to and would like a unique costume designed just for you, please email me to discuss it. Pricing varies according to the intricacy of the design and the cost of the fanbrics. Do take into account that costumes take at least 6 weeks and you may need to have a local seamtress you can go to for final adjustments to ensure a perfect custom fit once you receive the costume. I will be sewing it according your emailed measurements and size, and since the sizes I use are standardized and we are all unique shapes, variations do occur and should be celebrated, not hidden beneath a standard fit.
